What started out as a basic sculpture wound up being the most difficult illustration to date. I thought the spider was hard, trying to keep water bubbles from sticking to the clay was mind-bogglingly annoying. I wound up using my Waterpik to remove the air bubbles, but unfortunately, as I blew the air bubbles off of the one side, they migrated over to the other. I finally settled with having some on there. Honestly, you shouldn't be able to even see them in the final presentation anyway.
Putting the fish into the fish bowl was stressful. If I screwed up his face, I would have to take him out and re-sculpt it again. Fortunately, I was able to get him in and out twice without damaging his plasticine face.
I had to take him out to try to get rid of the air bubbles. Turns out the water just keeps releasing oxygen for hours. The Waterpik was the only solution.
